Back in 2025, we were running an internet shop in a remote village. Like many local providers, we started by simply handing out Wi-Fi passwords to our customers. We quickly ran into a common problem: access was being shared via QR scans and hotspots, and customers were easily bypassing their time allowances.

To take back control, we invested in a MikroTik gateway. However, this created a massive new bottleneck. One of us had to sit at a laptop all day just to manually add users, set time limits, block unauthorized scans, and record sales in a physical ledger. It was time-consuming, tedious, and highly inefficient.

We knew there had to be a better way — an automated voucher system that we could control entirely from our phones. We tried the existing solutions on the market, but found them overly complicated, inconvenient, lacking true automation, and prohibitively expensive.

So, we built our own.

Six months after developing a system that completely transformed our own business, we realized its potential to help other ISP owners facing the exact same struggles. That was the day MikroPilot was officially launched to the public.
